Well, hello, peeps. We landed from Cape Town yesterday, and as there is no rest for the wicked, I fly off to Detroit tonight to address the Small Giants Community Conference.
The theme of this year's conference is Transitions. Have you ever thought of transitions or changes in your life that influenced your entrepreneurial journey?
I will never forget mine. Thirteen-plus years ago, I lost my big fat corporate job on a Friday. We were the largest issuer of credit cards to small businesses in the United States, and we were utterly decimated during the grand recession.
After the bankruptcy trustees let me go on a Friday, I went to the bank and deposited a check for my full home equity line of credit. I then went home, told my wife what had happened, and started MultiFunding on Saturday.
