Two years ago, in 2022, I posted an Albert Einstein quote that recently popped back up in my Facebook memories…
"Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving."
- Albert Einstein
Previously, I've written about how life philosophies are fundamentally tied to entrepreneurial philosophies, and that the overall lessons to be learned are a lot simpler than one may expect. Seeing as we're halfway through the week, let's do a quick mindset exercise to mentally refresh ourselves and take full advantage of this week's second half.
Take a deep breath, allow yourself to focus, and truly consider the following concepts:
If you can’t find the perfect place to begin, it's okay to start at the end and work backwards.
Anything worth doing, is worth doing poorly. The opportunity cost of perfection can be devastating.
Believe in execution - get the ball rolling. You don't have to start at full speed to actualize your goals, you just have to start.
Take missteps and "failures" in stride - forgive yourself for the decisions you made and the ideas that you had when you were working with limited information. The only true failure is forgetting to find the lesson within these less than successful endeavors.
Finally, like Einstein says, keep the bike moving. If you hit the brakes too hard, it's easy to fall off. Remind yourself that it's okay to simply choose to slow down instead.
What you do today is important because it's how you're choosing to spend your valuable and irreplaceable time. Let's all have a great Wednesday and finish the week even stronger than we may have started.
