AmiSight 7/13: Perception Matters
A recent Yahoo article talked about how United Airlines CEO Scott Kirby apologized for using a private plane to leave the New York area. At the same time, numerous United passengers were stranded due to flight cancellations.
Kirby's private flight took place a few weeks ago from Teterboro, New Jersey, to Denver, amidst the cancellation of 750 United flights (not including United Express flights) that day. Throughout the week, United has canceled nearly 3,000 flights, with the Newark Liberty International Airport hub being heavily affected by thunderstorms.
Passengers affected by the flight cancellations were unhappy about Kirby's flight choice. Would you be?
