While this blog is not intended to be about world affairs or politics, it is also personal, and I would be remiss not to write about how heartbroken and helpless I am about what I can do to help from here. It's hard to imagine a scenario where terrorists crossed the border from Mexico or Canada, killed citizens in our border towns, took innocent children, women, and seniors back into their country, and held them hostage. My heart goes out to all of those impacted by this crisis.
