Over the past few weeks, I have been back on the road and in many Ubers. Unfortunately, I often forget to tip the driver until I log on for my next ride. I don't know if it is automated or not, but soon after I tip now, I get a little ping. "Joe (or the driver's name) thanks you for your tip." I smile every time it happens, and it makes me feel good.
My Uber driver at 5 am yesterday morning in Las Vegas to take me to the airport was a short-order chef at one of the casinos. He told me that he gets up every day at three am to drive for four hours before going to his "real job." This is how he supports his family. They deserve our tips!!!
