AmiSight 10/25: Run, Run, Run, Run – Crash

I returned home on Friday night about a 12-day marathon on the road, crawled into bed with my dog – and hardly left.

The last two weeks were exhilarating and exhausting. There were seven presentations across four conferences in four different states. One of the presentations was in Lake Tahoe, outside, at 8:30 in the morning. I was on stage for 45 minutes in 27 degrees. This talk was an experience I will never forget. All that being said, it was incredible to meet so many readers of this blog in person. I am grateful to all of you.

I have two lessons to share – one funny, the other serious. The first one is to pay attention to packing lists – I never realized it would be cold in Lake Tahoe. The most important lesson is we should all listen to our bodies. This weekend I have done just about nothing – other than hanging out with my wife Bethany and our dogs and sleeping. Sometimes you just need to let your body catch up. You can't fight gravity.
