Although service companies are scaling hiring as the result of burgeoning artificial intelligence, many are retaining their current staff, according to a new survey in the New York-Northern New Jersey area.
USA Today reports that the slowdown is most pronounced in positions requiring college degrees, as AI increasingly handles tasks in marketing, business analysis, data management, customer service, accounting, and programming.
Increased technology is also decreasing entry-level positions in the tech field as AI is handling many basic software development tasks. Existing workers seem to be safe as they are being retrained in response to the new technology.
