AmiSight 4/28: This Week’s Focus: Major SBA Changes Under the Second Trump Administration

There have been a number of significant changes to the SBA program during the second Trump Administration, and more were announced last week. While there are a million details that would put most people to sleep, I want to dedicate this week’s AmiSights to sharing with each of you the Cliff Notes version of what I believe to be the most significant changes. I also don’t intend to provide opinions about the changes or explanations about them, but simply to inform.
As previously reported, shortly after the second Trump administration took over, any company now getting an SBA loan must be 100% owned by U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, or U.S. Nationals. Previously this was 51%.
