Our lives are nonstop interactions with other people – and whether we like it or not, many interactions are some form of negotiation. We are hoping to influence the outcome the way we want.
The easiest thing to do is assume that everyone we interact with thinks as we do. And the reality is that we are all entirely different. However, if you take the time to understand the background and motivations of those you are interacting with and consider them as you work towards your goal – you are much more likely to reach the outcome you are looking for.
