While fully remote workers may be more engaged at work, they are less likely to be happy than their hybrid or in-office peers, a new Gallup poll finds.
Here are some perspectives from LinkedIn:
Sarah Blejwas, senior content strategist at Influent Social, knows from experience how working remotely makes it easy for work to become your whole life. She suggests creating healthy boundaries to separate your work and everyday life:
Having a space dedicated to work and working from that place 90% of the time when at home
Working outside of the home at coffee shops or parks twice a month.
Making a point to do something out of the house at least 3 work days per week.
Renee Morefield, CEO of Wisdom Works Group, offers insight from an employer’s point of view, saying it is imperative to have a life outside of work.
“When we invest in thriving, we’re not just improving the quality of life at work—we're unlocking the potential of our teams to bring their best selves and ideas to the table,” she says.
