Every once in a while, I get on a call with a prospective client and within minutes I know it's not going anywhere.
They're not looking for advice. They're looking for someone to tell them how to get around SBA rules.
The funny thing is they almost always think they're the smartest person in the room.
It took me years to recognize this pattern. Today, my goal is simple: politely end the call and move on.
Life is too short to spend time with people trying to outsmart a system that was built to stop exactly what they're trying to do.
