A recent LinkedIn post caught my attention: credit card companies are increasingly relying on America’s wealthiest households to keep spending, even as the rest of the economy pulls back. What struck me most is that the top 10% of U.S. households — those earning over $250,000 annually — now account for half of the nation’s consumer spending. It seems the 80/20 rule is taking hold once again.
