There is always tremendous value and power in a second, or sometimes third, opinion. Our daughter Charlotte has been dealing with chronic hip pain for three years. We started with the "experts" at Rothman Orthopaedic Institute, who put her through the wringer for two and a half years and completely missed the diagnosis. A few months ago, we were referred to the orthopedic unit at Penn, and they got the diagnosis in five minutes. Two weeks ago she had her hip reconstructed and is at home recovering.

Super glad to hear Charlotte is on the road to recovery. I spent (3) years going from specialist to specialist to diagnosis a severe chronic cough. Finally I decided to go to Mayo Clinic and they quickly discovered my diagnosis’s and developed a plan to get me back into the game. I’m a huge believer in 2nd and 3rd opinions.
