It seems that the summer of 2022 is turning out to be the summer of The Great Vacation. Almost everyone I know is taking longer trips, and going further away. After being pent up for such a long time, I think these trips are well deserved and healthy!!
A couple of observations:
With The Great Vacation, many business transactions are taking longer than usual this summer. People are in Europe or Hawaii and their Out of Office messages are loud and clear. Expect delays!!
There will also be delays on the road. Airlines, airports, hotels, and rental car centers are backed up. Industries that slowed down to a standstill during the pandemic and now struggling to keep up with demand. Be patient with these front-line workers!!
