Do You Have a Goal For Your Business?

In one of the comments yesterday, a community participant said that he is not clear on his ultimate goal for his business. While plans can change over time (and often will), I strongly recommend that a goal is essential.

How can you plan and make investment decisions without a goal? Take some time this weekend and think about what you want your business to look like three years from now. What do you want your top line and bottom line to be?

Some people might be aiming for exponential growth !! Others might be looking to sell and be on the beach three years from now. If you are happy with where things are and want to maintain the status quo, that's also entirely OK. But you can't build a plan unless you know what you are aiming for.
