These days I spend a lot of time thinking about my "pre-covid life," my "covid life," and what I want my "post covid life" to look like.
There is an inherent tension between going back to what we used to do and deciding what we will keep in place from what we have been doing. Some of it is positive.
Two thoughts to share:
This decision is not just about what you want; it’s more about what your customers want – and never forget about it. Yes, some things might have been more convenient for you during covid, but if your customers don't want to interact with you that way anymore, it doesn't matter.
While I recognize that I have to follow my customer – if Covid taught me anything, there are more innovative ways to work. I don’t want to go back to my pre-covid life the way it was. But if my covid life isn’t going to work anymore, the choice isn’t binary. I will find a new way.
