AmiSight 11/2: Try Seeing Your Business as a Startup Again

I had a conversation recently with Orsolya Herbein, and I told her that entrepreneurs should always imagine they’re running a startup.
When you’re building something new, there’s a kind of energy that comes with it. You’re full of ideas. You see possibilities. You’re excited to figure out what comes next.
As a business grows, it’s easy to get caught up in the problems, the pressure and the things that aren’t working. I know I do. Sometimes we need to step back and remember what it felt like when we were first building the business.
That energy doesn’t have to disappear just because the company has been around for a while. We can still create something new. We can still look at the business with fresh eyes.
Sometimes a change in perspective is enough to bring back some of the excitement.
