AmiSight 1/10: The Growth Paradox

Writer's picture: Ami KassarAmi Kassar

As an author of The Growth Dilemma, a tweet yesterday by @sahilbloom about The Growth Paradox peaked my curiosity. Here is what he said :

“Growth takes a much longer time coming than you think, and then it happens much faster than you ever would have thought. Growth happens gradually, then suddenly. When you realize this, you start to do things differently.”

Interestingly, the same applies to a crisis... Dornbusch’s Law: “The crisis takes a much longer time coming than you think, and then it happens much faster than you would have thought.” Hemingway: "How did you go bankrupt? Two ways. Gradually, then suddenly."

Sahil curates an online community called “The Room Where It Happens”. I plan to check it out.
