Over the last few months, I’ve repeatedly heard that the economic slowdown many businesses have been experiencing this year is due to the presidential election. While I've been skeptical of this argument—thinking that the election is only one factor impacting the economy—I decided to dig deeper.

Last week, I popped up a question in a WhatsApp group of entrepreneurs I help run, asking how their business is doing now that the election is over. For over 80% of respondents, the answer was NO CHANGE AT ALL.
