What would it be like to unplug for three days, cover up the clocks and gather your thoughts?
Stacker co-founder and CEO Noah Greenberg, who has been taking a 3-day silent retreat every year during the week between Christmas and New Year’s since 2020, told his story to Business Insider.
His checklist includes journals, comfy clothes, running shoes, and groceries. It doesn’t include his computer, books, podcasts, or anything else that would distract him from his thoughts.
It also doesn’t include a lot of planning as too much preparation results in having to resolve certain things, which is counterproductive and puts too much pressure on the trip. Instead, he lets everything pour out in a journal the first night, often leading to goals he sticks with until the next trip.
