Yelp's latest Fastest Growing Brands report produced a surprising winner: 7 Brew, a drive-thru coffee chain that most Americans have never heard of, topped the list with a 244% increase in consumer interest. Other fast growers included Smoothie King, Bojangles, Wingstop, and Paris Baguette.
The bigger story isn't coffee. It's personalization.
Yelp found that the fastest-growing brands are winning because they give customers more control over their experience—whether that's thousands of drink combinations, customized food orders, or highly curated shopping experiences. Convenience matters, but convenience plus personalization is becoming the winning formula.
For business owners, this trend extends far beyond restaurants. Consumers increasingly expect products and services tailored to their specific needs, even when delivered at scale. The companies figuring out how to combine customization with operational efficiency are gaining market share from much larger competitors.
The lesson: growth isn't necessarily going to the biggest brands. It's going to the brands that make customers feel like the experience was built just for them.
