AmiSight 7/22: Real Estate Rollercoaster: The Latest Trends in Our Local Housing Market

Sometimes economies can shift under our feet, and I'm starting to wonder if that is happening to us now. In my neighborhood in the suburbs of Philadelphia a few months ago, you couldn't find a house anywhere to buy. And if one came on the market, there would be a quick bidding war despite high interest rates, and it would go well above the asking price. Just in the last 2 weeks, 4 houses have come up for sale in my neighborhood. One sold, 2 are still there, and one has its price reduced. It feels like maybe something is shifting.
