One statistic jumped out at me this week: according to UBS, the U.S. added more than 440,000 new millionaires in 2025—over 1,200 every single day.
It's an impressive reminder that despite all the headlines about uncertainty, America continues to create wealth at an incredible pace.
But there's an important nuance. Much of that new wealth wasn't created by bigger paychecks. It came from owning appreciating assets—stocks, businesses, and real estate. In fact, financial assets now account for nearly 80% of gross wealth in the U.S.
For entrepreneurs, I think there's a valuable lesson here. Building a successful business is one of the best wealth creators available, but eventually every owner needs to think beyond just growing revenue. How are you turning today's cash flow into long-term assets that can continue to appreciate?
Income pays the bills. Ownership builds wealth.
