I often talk about COVID Dominoes, as the world recalibrates and finds its equilibrium after COVID. But I never thought about COVID Dominoes in terms of dogs and pets. Do you remember when finding a dog to adopt was nearly impossible during the pandemic? And now, according to this Vox article, the trend has sadly reversed. Pounds and shelters are sadly getting inundated with "doggy returns" as people either do not want or can no longer afford to take care of their COVID friends. Sadly, this is forcing increased kill rates. Now I will try to convince my wife to let us get a third dog. Wish me luck !!
