Although company loyalty is still high as many people are too complacent to make a switch, customer loyalty is becoming nonexistent.
Business Insider reports that “loyalty penalty” is seen everywhere – your internet bill is creeping up, credit card interest rates and streaming bills skyrocket after the introductory period ends, and even airline miles don’t stretch as much as they used to.
Despite not being reciprocal in their loyalty, companies rope in customers by using several tactics – cancellation fees, lost airline miles or time-consuming steps to switch from one mobile phone carrier to another. And often customers’ loyalty is based on long-term relationships with the provider despite subpar service.
