While the Trump tariffs are wreaking havoc on many American companies, some are reaping the benefits of being named on a list released by the Commerce Department.
The Wall Street Journal reports that the list includes more than 400 items imported to the U.S. that would face tariffs on their steel and aluminum content—ranging from farm equipment, bulldozers, and industrial robots to dumbbells, infant swings, and infant walkers.
For companies like Sherrill Manufacturing, which calls itself America’s last stainless-steel flatware maker, the list is a triumph. After years of struggling to compete with cheaper imports, they see it as a long-awaited advantage.
