A few months ago, I spoke with my 96-year-old aunt in Jerusalem, who has many grandkids called to fight in the war. She explained to me that, to maintain her mental health, she keeps her WhatsApp on in case she hears from her grandkids but avoids reading newspapers or watching the news.
I’m trying to learn from her wisdom—and have started my own news boycott. It’s been pretty refreshing so far. I’ll keep you updated on how it goes.
