It's happening: I am writing this post from the plane to Cape Town, South Africa, with my wife, Bethany.
The impetus for the trip is that we will be attending Entrepreneur Organizations' (EO) annual Global Leadership Conference. In July, I take over as President of the EO Philadelphia chapter, a journey that I am excited about and will write more about in my 21Hats column next week.
This trip also has a deeper meaning for me. Most people don't know that I was born in Cape Town and moved to the United States with my family when I was eight. I have not been back to South Africa in 32 years. And Bethany has never gone, and I am incredibly excited to share this adventure with her.
I will post highlights of our trip over the next ten days. And if you don't hear from me, that's because Bethany fed me to a lion in the Safari. 😊
