I am not sure I believe it. Today we are moving from our family house where we brought up our kids, into a smaller home a few miles up the road.
The last several weeks have been quite a process. Selling furniture we will no longer need on Facebook marketplace, clearing our junk that has accumulated over the last 18 years, and donating tons of stuff that we no longer want.
As you go through the process of sorting, hundreds of memories run through your mind. And as you “purge” it’s a reminder that most stuff is not that important.
Yesterday my daughter was on the phone with my mom telling her how sad she was to be moving. My mom told her that every time she has moved in her life, she is excited to look forward and doesn’t look back. Thanks mom for this important lesson.
