Last week when I was flipping through my Facebook memory feed, I came across a quote from Adam Grant about mentorship that I thought was striking.
Adam said, “ Great mentors aren't like The Godfather. Their gifts don't come with strings attached. All we owe them is to reach the potential they see in us. We don't need to pay it back, but we can spread it forward. It honors their time and spreads the norm of generosity.”
I have been blessed with several mentors in my life who have and continue to have an enormous influence on me. I only hope that I can give back a tenth of their wisdom to others.
